"Iron" Raul Cătinaş (born August 6, 1988) is a Romanian super heavyweight kickboxer fighting in the K-1 and Local Kombat promotions.[1]

Biography and career

Raul Cătinaş was born in Lugoj in western Romania on August 6, 1988. He started kickboxing at the age of 16 in 2004.[2] Then he fought in 2007 for the first time in Local Kombat tournaments and made his K-1 debut a year later on September 12, 2008 at K-1 Slovakia 2008 against Dzevad Poturak.[3]

Cătinaş became in 2010, the youngest fighter after Badr Hari qualified for the K-1 World Grand Prix - Final 16 from Seoul at the age of only 22.
